The Wanger REO Collection
This archival collection contains papers, photographs and artifacts that cover the history of the REO auto company and its products.
Author, attorney,
delegate to the 1961 Michigan Constitutional Convention, and former
Chair of the Ingham County Commissioner Eugene G. Wanger studies,
publishes and collects on a variety of subjects. Mr. Wanger is one of
the three original incorporators, past president and life member of the
RE Olds Transportation Museum in Lansing, Michigan; and was awarded a
Certificate of Recognition by the Historical Society of Michigan in
connection with these activities. In 1984 he organized and
chaired the first general purpose antique truck show held in Michigan
and organized the Michigan Chapter of the American Truck Historical
Society. He served as the Chapter's President, and for many years
was a member of the national board of the American Truck Historical
Society. He is a longtime member of the Reo Club of America and
has owned two antique Reo motor vehicles.
