Belong to Me
by Marisa de los Santos
When quirky, feisty and disarming Cornelia Brown and her beyond-handsome husband move from their beloved New York City to the suburbs, her first impressions are very Stepford-ish. Piper Truitt, their new neighbor, is the ringleader of a group obsessed with perfect bodies, their children's schools and what the neighbors think. Little by little, however, the terminal illness of Piper's best friend revealse the chinks in her spotless armor - her husband's discontent with their marriage, the contrast between the clique's judgmental behavior and her compassionate caring for the dying Elizabeth, and her unexpected liking for the upstart new neighbor with the funky clothes and big city attitude.
