The Girl With No Shadow

What could be better than more chocolate? Or Chocolat in this case, as Harris continues the story of chocolatier Vianne Rocher and her daughter Anouk. Vianne can still magically sense what particular form of chocolate each customer will savor, but she has buried her abilities and denied her daughter’s in an attempt to achieve a “normal” life in a dreary and unsuccessful shop in Paris.

Their lives change dramatically when a woman enters their lives who makes her way through the world stealing the identities and money of others. Right now she is the carefree, charismactic Zozie, who possesses many of the same magical talents as Vianne but has used them only for her own profit. Seeing through their disguise, Zozie becomes the storekeeper Vianne once was, planning to steal her soul and her daughter.
