In this special storytime, Mason Fire Chief Kerry Minshall reads his
favorite children’s story and shows us his fire gear and fire truck
from the station.
Halloween Storytime (Ages 3-5)
Wednesday, Oct. 29
10 am
We’ll read Halloween stories, dance the “Hooky Spookey,” play “Ring
Around the Ghosty,” and trick-or-treat through the library. Come
dressed in your Halloween costume.

Food for Thought (Grades 4-10)

Bring a book that you have read recently to share with the group. Pizza
and pop provided.

By popular demand, the Mason Library is starting a music club for
teens! Listen to and discuss great music, share your favorite songs and
artists, and more. Pop, chips and cookies will be provided. (Contact

that we provide), plus enjoy refreshments and prizes. Registration
required. Poems will be approved at time of registration.
Teen Halloween & Nintendo Wii Party (Grades 6-12)

This year, our teen Halloween party will feature a Nintendo Wii!
Compete in our tournament. Wear your Halloween costume for a chance to
win a Best Buy gift certificate. We’ll have punch, cookies, snacks and
lots of great giveaways. Don’t miss it!

Writing a Business Plan*

This two-session workshop answers the question: What is the value of a
business plan? Learn how to create and use your business plan to build
a successful business; how to set your objectives and priorities; how
to gather and analyze necessary marketing and cost information; and how
to integrate the financials into your business plan. Registration
required for both sessions by calling the Michigan Small Business &

and Windows and have basic word processing skills. Registration

Michigan’s Ghostly Beacons
Tuesday, Oct. 28
6-7:30 pm
What is it about lighthouses that attract ghostly spirits? Many
lighthouse keepers were extremely dedicated to their profession—it
seems that many were never able to give it up, even after death! Hear
stories about the keepers and ghosts who have tended lights in the
Great Lakes State. Presented by historian Dianna Stampfler; seating is
on a first-come basis.
