Board Members
Capital Area District Libraries is governed by a seven-member board, appointed by Ingham County and the City of Lansing.
The board is composed of four residents from Lansing or Lansing Charter Township; one resident from the Meridian Charter Township; and two residents from the balance of the county.
This breakdown is based on population and state equalized valuations of the seven-member districts.

Notice of Public Hearing:
The Capital Area District Libraries will be holding a public hearing to discuss its proposed 2025 budget. “The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.” This meeting will be held in person on Wednesday, Nov. 13th, at 5:30 PM in the Galleries - Lower Level of the Downtown Lansing Library, 401 S.
