Audrey Karr Receives Director's Award!
Audrey is deeply committed to our South Lansing community and is constantly striving to better understand their needs, empathize with their challenges, and better serve them at the library and beyond. She is often the first to raise thoughtful insights on how we can improve our processes and lower barriers to those most in need of services. She is eminently knowledgeable on both tech and circulation assistance and readily offers both, no matter where in the library she is working or how busy she is with other responsibilities.
Audrey is widely adored by patrons and staff alike, who appreciate her positive presence in the library every day. In one incident, she was able to identify and intervene in a situation involving a teenage runaway where her observation skills and good judgment brought about a positive resolution. Her focus on safety, security, and service truly makes CADL South Lansing a better place for all.
