Meet Amanda, CADL Webberville's New Head Librarian!
Amanda Vorce is excited to join Capital Area District Libraries as the Head Librarian in Webberville. While new to CADL, she is not new to the area, as both her grandparents and parents met at Michigan State and all her siblings are Spartans. She graduated with a MLIS from Wayne State University and has been working as a youth services librarian for many years. She has a degree in music from Bennington College, which has proved very useful in keeping the attention of toddlers in storytime.
She began in libraries as a page and slowly moved up the ranks. As a youth services librarian, she has an extensive background in working with our younger patrons and is passionate about their growth and development.
CADL Executive Director Scott Duimstra said "She has some great ideas for offering services for children, teens and adults in Webberville. We’re excited to have Amanda join us at CADL!"
While these are difficult times we find ourselves in, she looks forward to serving the Webberville community. She strongly believes in the positive role the library will play in aiding our families in in the wake of this pandemic and cannot wait to meet them in person.
