We’ve been busy working on some important service adjustments and enhancements to improve the overall CADL membership experience.
CADL App Update
A new version of our mobile app is now available! The enhanced app includes:
- Ability to search the library catalog and digital content.
- Improved event calendar integration.
- Ability to attach multiple cards for convenient account management for the whole family.

Not an app user?
Hoopla Digital Service Adjustments
Although it is free for members to use, Capital Area District Libraries pays a fee of up to $3.99 for every hoopla checkout. With CADL members checking out more than 19,000 hoopla items each month, costs add up quickly.
To manage expenses while still offering a wide range of instantly available digital content, we have implemented a price cap on Hoopla content. As a result, some content is no longer available. However, thousands of digital books, audiobooks, movies and music albums remain available with the limit of 12 checkouts per month unchanged.
