Blind Date with a Book
Getting bored with the same old authors and genres you’ve been spending time with all winter? Maybe it’s time to spice up your reading life. After all, something new and exciting could be lurking right around the corner… at your library!
From Feb. 1–15, visit any CADL branch and check out a title from the Blind Date with a Book display. Titles and authors are hidden, but be brave—you may just find your perfect match underneath the mysterious paper wrapping.
Take your selection to the checkout desk, where you’ll be given an entry form for our Blind Date grand prize drawings. Prizes include tickets to Broadway shows like My Fair Lady and Wicked, coming to Wharton Center. You may enter once per library visit; winners are limited to one per household.
When you get home and unwrap your book, you may find an instant winner coupon hiding inside! Bring it back to the library by Saturday, Feb. 29 and exchange it for a gift card from a local movie theater.
Digital book lovers can get in on the excitement, too. From Feb. 1–15, download one of the disguised titles (pictured below) from our hoopla collection for a chance to win dinner and a movie for two. To download, keep an eye out for a special email in your inbox containing the disguised titles. Then send the title and your contact info (name and phone number) to connect@cadl.org, using Blind Date as the subject line. We must receive the email by 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 15. Check out as many of the special titles as you want. Limited to one winner per household.
CADL members may participate in both the in-branch and digital versions of Blind Date with a Book; limited to one prize per household.
