Hours

Part time 20 hours. Includes working Saturdays.

Capital Area District Libraries (CADL) provides library services to our local communities seven days per week. All positions except those in the Administrative Offices will require some evening and weekend hours, including Sundays. While this position is currently assigned at the above location, CADL reserves the right to require all employees to be available for assignments at any CADL location.

Salary

$14.18 per hour.

Nature of Work

Under the supervision of the Operations Director, drives a van to pick up and deliver mail, library materials, office supplies and equipment to branches and other destinations. Lifts and carries heavy boxes, bundles and packages, utilizing a hand truck and/or requiring physical strength.

Education & Experience

 

 High school diploma or its equivalent preferred though not required

 Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

This is an entry-level classification; no specific prior work experience is required.

Possession of a valid Michigan Chauffeur’s License.
