Charles Bradley’s No Time for Dreaming has the amazing cool, laid back, sound of 60’s and 70’s R&B, Funk and Soul and was named one of the Top 50 Albums of 2011 by Mojo Magazine. The title and lead off tracks, "No Time For Dreaming” and “The World is going Up in Flames” both have the feel of Bradley’s early inspiration, James Brown. While other tracks, such as “Golden Rule,” evoke the power and conscience of Marvin Gaye. And “Lovin’ You Baby” evokes the soulful ballads delivered by Al Green. The whole album has the feel of that time without being dated—due to both Charles Bradley’s soulful style and retro-styling of the Menahan Street Band behind him.
