Gentle, funny full page comics imagining Darth Vader’s life if he had raised his son Luke while battling the Rebel Alliance. Common parent/child situations are placed in the well-known Star Wars framework. My favorites use well known lines from the movies in new contexts. When Luke complains about a change of plans his dad says “I am altering the deal. Pray I don’t alter it any further.” When Luke is enamored by a row of Jar Jar Binks dolls at the toy store, the Sith Lord desperately waves his hand and intones “This isn’t the toy you’re looking for…” Recommended for fathers and Star Wars fans everywhere.
