Singh’s developed a very interesting world divided essentially into three groups: the Psy, a psychically gifted race that has conditioned its members to forgo emotion creating a cold, calculating society; the Changlings, ablaze with their emotions and the ability to shift in their animal groups (including Leopards, Wolves, Deer, etc.), and the humans considered beneath the two gifted races. The groups haven’t quite lived in harmony but up until recently there has been at least a stable hierarchy. Now things are shifting behind the scenes. In Slave to Sensation the DarkRiver Leopard Pack is hunting a Psy serial killer and to gather more information the pack has taken a construction contract with a member of the Psy council. The Psy on the other hand are interested in gathering intelligence about the upstart pack eroding their power base in the Bay Area. Lucas Hunter is the Alpha of DarkRiver and Sasha Duncan is assigned by the Psy to shadow him in the business deal. Both have their secrets but they’ll have to work together to expose a vicious killer.

I read this in one sitting and had the rest of the series in my hands within a day. This is a well written paranormal romance that fans of Christine Feehan (particularly the Leopard or Ghostwalker series) should track down. Follow it up with Visions of Heat.
