I hoped that each would survive Masada and go on to live long lives, but as the novel proves war can be brutal and indiscriminate. The audiobook has four women readers whose performance perfectly captures the voice of their characters and draws you deeper into the story. Highly recommended for historical fiction lovers or novels about women.
