Lacey Farrell is a real estate agent in New York City. One day she accidently witnesses a client being murdered in an apartment that she is trying to sell. Fortunately, she barely escapes with her life. However, she is the only person who can identify her client’s killer. For her protection, Lacey is forced to enter the federal Witness Protection Program.

Readers will get a taste of the difficulties involved in adapting to a new identity with a made-up past while trying to negotiate life in a new city. To make things worse the killer is hot on her trail. She must work hard to conceal her identity or meet with foul play. Will Lacey be able to put together the clues behind her client’s murder and help the Feds find the mob hitman before he finishes her off?
