Vespertine

This is not a new album, as it was released in 2001, but one that is definitely on my top album of all time lists. Vespertine is gorgeous, expansive, haunting, ethereal and, as critics and Bjork herself have described it, introverted. Of this album Bjork says that she was "collecting together all the noises that I know that are like hibernating and that sound like the inside of your head. I guess 'Vespertine' for me was going really, really, really internal and trying to make music with huffs and whispering and music boxes." Enjoy.
