My Beloved World

Justice Sonia Sotomayor is the first Hispanic American to serve on the United States Supreme Court. She was appointed by President Barak Obama in 2009. In this autobiography, she shares her journey from growing up in a housing project in the Bronx to her appointment by President George H.W. Bush as a judge for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

I really enjoyed listening to this book and thought it was a very inspirational read. Justice Sotomayor’s story is a good example of how through hard work and determination a person can overcome life’s obstacles to achieve ones goals.
