The Incredible Hulk, Seasons 1-5

Long before there were Hollywood superhero blockbuster films, there was the Incredible Hulk TV series.

In this adaptation, Dr. David Banner, who periodically transforms into a green hulking creature, is on the lam for a murder that he did not commit. Throughout this series he travels the country desperately searching for a cure to his radiation-induced affliction.  However, he must always be on guard because tabloid reporter Jack McGee is relentlessly pursing him in hopes of breaking the big story. During his journeys, the mild mannered doctor becomes entangled in the lives of those he meets.  In each episode his alter ego, The Hulk, must save someone from imminent danger.

 

Watching this show takes me back to my childhood. Despite the cheesy - circa 1978- special effects, it’s a great family show.  Children will enjoy The Hulk and adults will be drawn into David Banner’s lonely saga.
