Willow Run

We first meet Margaret (Meggie) Dillon in the Newbery Medal Honor Book Lily's Crossing, when she moves from her Rockaway, New York home to Michigan so that her father can work nights building war planes at a factory during World War II.  In Willow Run, author Giff continues Meggie’s story in the real neighborhood of Willow Run (Ypsilanti), Michigan.  This historical audiobook offers young listeners the chance to glimpse the hardships of war and see Meggie grow in courage and compassion for her neighbors.
