Between the World and Me

This set of essays addressed as a letter to Coates’ teenage son made me think, sigh, and on many occasions tear up… and I think everyone should read it! It’s a black man’s wide-eyed exploration and struggle with history, the present and race—including what it is like to grow up black, and the limitations it places on us (and we place on ourselves). It offers no answers, but heartfelt observations that need to be absorbed and discussed.
