Somehow, my favorite Dr. Seuss book is often overlooked when people think of Seuss. No, it doesn't have the flash of Green Eggs and Ham, but My Many Colored Days has depth that a lot of children's books don't reach. First, you can talk about colors with your child and then expand to emotions and what colors do they think of with their emotions. Plus there's the fun of jumping with your child on a happy pink day or growling on a brown day. Overall, it's a book that you won't mind reading again and again.
