Playing with Fire

Gripping from the first few paragraphs this story pulls the reader in and keeps you thinking about what is truly happening to the main character. The story begins in an antiques shop in Rome where a curious piece of music is found by violinist Julia Ansdell. In Boston the playing of the piece begins to change Julia's world with violent, scary episodes involving her 3-year-old daughter. A search of where the manuscript originated takes the reader to pre-WWII Italy and the lives of those during that time. How the manuscript survives and is found by Julia and what it's spell is weaving in her life uncovers a dangerous secret that a powerful family doesn't want brought to light. Is it the music, the past, or something else that is turning Julia and her family's life upside down?
