Camilla Dickinson

I love Madeleine L'Engle's books. All of them. Not just the Wrinkle in Time variety, but her realistic fiction, fiction for adults, memoirs and, if she was writing today her books that would have been put in the 'Christian fiction' category. Camilla was probably already 20 years old when I read it at around age 15, but I loved it. A sheltered teenager in an emotionally stifling family who is struggling to define herself, live a meaningful life, be a friend and discovering first love. This movie sticks really close to the book and Camilla has that same beret from the cover of the paperback edition! The acting is great and if you love quiet stories that feel like a YA novel will love it even if you haven't read the book.
