When a goat who makes marshmallow squares and rides a bike feels inadequate...
“Things are a lot different around here since that Unicorn moved in,” begins our forlorn billygoat narrator. Goat used to feel pretty special when he rode his bike, made marshmallow squares or performed at the school talent show as DJ Gruff…that is, until Unicorn horned in, wowing everyone with his ability to fly, prance and make it rain cupcakes. Luckily, Unicorn (who is oblivious to Goat’s snide bouts of envy) points out the many things Goat has going for him: nifty cloven hooves, a great pair of horns and the truly incredible ability to eat tin cans and other bits of garbage – sprinkled with goat cheese, of course. This is a great book for children struggling with issues of jealousy, but it’s also just bright and colorful and witty enough for adults to enjoy, too.
