The Tin Snail

After Angelo unintentionally causes a fiasco at the Paris Auto Show, his father's job is in jeopardy and they are relegated to a village in the remote French countryside. Then Angelo gets an idea he believes will change France, help his parents get along again, and prove French superiority over the Nazis: design a car a simple farmer could afford and use, even traveling down bumpy country roads. This middle grade novel inspired by real events is funny and unique. It has a European sensibility, plenty of silliness and a big heart.
