Simply Christmas

Hamilton’s Tony-winning original Aaron Burr, Leslie Odom, Jr.’s collection of Christmas classics is beautifully pure with a blend of vintage sound and subtle newness that made it perfect for me. The jazz flavor of “My Favorite Things” was a fresh take for me while “Have yourself…” reminded me of Nat King Cole. The lone non-traditional cut on the album, “Winter Song" penned by Sara Barielles and Ingrid Michaelsen is beautiful and haunting.  This is whole collection is being added to my holiday favorites.
