Spindle

Set in a country whose primary export is cloth, the casting of the famous curse not only devastates the royal family, it forces all the spinners and weavers into exile. Twelve years later, a small group of exiled teens sneak back into the country to figure out a way to break the curse, only to find themselves on the run with the princess instead.

 

This is a loose companion to Johnston’s A Thousand Nights, but each book can stand alone.
