Laidback blues comfort music!
Morrison’s 36th studio album has a chill, throwback feel that I find comforting. His blues style that won me over with “Crazy Love” and “Tupelo Honey” is still in fine form. The album is all new material with the exception of a fabulous cover of “Share Your Love With Me,”
(made famous by Aretha Franklin). The beautiful wistful memories in “Every Time I See a River” and “Memory Lane,” are among my favorites, but I just loved this album. It’s a melancholy and introspective collection that hit the spot.
