Hidden Figures

Some books really make you want to sit down and just take a while to think about what you just read. A few quick thoughts. First, thank you to the author for bringing to the forefront the story of African American women mathematicians and their contributions to NACA/NASA.  2.) Honestly, a little anger that the story of these women has not only been hidden, but seemingly ignored. 3.) A bigger thank you to educators. 4.) How interesting it must have been growing up in the author’s hometown. 5.) This is a great selection for people interested in books related to American History, NASA, S.T.E.M., and Women’s Studies. 6.) If you enjoyed The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, I think you will also enjoy Hidden Figures.
