Wishin' and Hopin'

This is told from the point of view of Felix a naïve 5th grader at a 1960's Catholic school.  This follows the fall semester up until and including the yearly Christmas pageant.  He has a much more adventurous and worldly best friend Lonny that gets Felix in hot water several times throughout the novel because Felix takes everything he says at face value and chooses to repeat some of it at inappropriate times.

 

There are several supporting characters that all have witty and crazy stories to add to the overall flow of the story.  You will not be disappointed with this book.  Fun, light and short novel for this hectic time of year.  This will keep you laughing from beginning to end.
