The Changeling

LaValle's latest is a scary modern fairy tale in which Apollo and Emma Kagwa welcome a beautiful baby boy into the world and somehow things begin to sour. Emma is receiving stalker-ish texts that disappear, she's not sleeping, and then one day she does the unthinkable goes missing. So begins Apollo's journey, first in revenge and then in redemption. This is a wonderful, creepy story with twists, turns, and familiar sights along the way.
