I used this for a book club pick for a group of seniors.  They seemed to thoroughly enjoy this book as did I.  I think it spans the generations.  It's written in letter form and the characters communicate the story this way throughout the book.  It’s set just after World War 2 on the Guernsey Islands of England.  There are many different stories from the different characters woven into one main story
