A Ballerina's Tale

Misty Copeland is the first African American principle dancer for the American Ballet Theatre. This documentary is worth watching just to see Misty dance, her athleticism is inspiring and beautiful. The film explains Misty’s ballet story, she gives a personal tour of the American Ballet Theatre and informs the viewers of the research she did into other female African American ballet dancers. Misty also shares her pain, the trauma to her body, and her triumphs, endorsement deal and her work to becoming principle dancer.
