Lincoln's Grave Robbers

This crime tale is so crazy I can't believe Hollywood hasn't made it into a movie yet. The cast is full of quirky characters, including an earnest (but woefully underfunded) Secret Service point man, a brilliant artist/master counterfeiter stuck in prison, a terrified undercover agent, and a gang of thieves convinced they can pull off the craziest grave-robbing heist ever attempted to force the ransom of their comrade. The second I finished this book I wanted to tell everyone I knew to read it, so we could marvel together at this strange and hilarious slice of U.S. criminal history.
