Many of Madeleine's non fiction works are being repackaged in lovely new editions.  This book is one of them, and it is a treasure.  This book is hard to classify in that its topic is clearly religion, but it is also memoir and essay at the same time.  L'Engle's writings on faith are deep and probing and as she admits in this book, do not always place her in the easy company of the religious or non religious.  One of my favorite reads in 2018.
