An intimate portrait, this book will give you a glimpse of what it was like to grow up in the Robinson family, an upbringing that prepared Mrs. Obama to face harsh criticism, racism, and threats against her family with grace as her husband's political career put her family in the spotlight. Despite her amazing accomplishments, including graduating from two Ivy League colleges and many career achievements, Mrs. Obama is humble and appreciative.  Reading her words makes me want to go out and change the world, even if it's just teaching a child how to plant a garden.
