Khai Dep believes he doesn’t have feelings and shouldn’t marry. Khai’s mother wants him married and she’s willing to force the issue by going back to Vietnam and interviewing possible candidates for the position of his bride. At her hotel she meets cleaner Esme Tran and offers her the part. Finding it impossible to turn down a chance at helping her family and possibly tracking down her American father, Esme reluctantly accepts. Thus, begins a summer of misguided seduction, misunderstandings, and ultimately love (whether Khai believes it or not). This is a thoughtful romantic comedy featuring an autistic businessman who doesn’t think he can fall in love and a young single mother looking for the best for her family, from the author of The Kiss Quotient.
