Multiple times while listening to Daisy Jones and the Six, I had to check to make sure that this was a work of fiction and not a historical documentation of a band I had never heard of. Reid has written a compelling story of a fictitious band in the 70s as told from the points of view of all the members of the band. As a book, it reads like a screenplay. In audiobook format, this full cast ensemble reading feels like a series of real interviews - full of emotion and inflection that seems true to the characters.
