The Way of the Househusband, Vol. 1

The life of a househusband holds many challenges, even for a former yakuza legend

From preparing his wife’s Instagram-worthy lunches every morning, facing off against an upstart infringing on his territory (a Roomba), or showing his neighbor’s son how to deal with a mistake (bury it six feet under), Tatsu brings the full force of his earnest dedication to his new position.

There’s not a clear storyline in this book, it is mostly a collection of slice-of-life chapters, but the characters are delightful and the contrast between Tatsu’s fierce tattoos and facial expressions and the (relative) low-stakes of his challenges are hilarious. I look forward to more household adventures.
