Cat and Olivia are just establishing a PI business that utilizes but doesn’t advertise the best friends’ paranormal abilities—derived from a large-scale accident at a government agency in their hometown of Fogg Lake—when Olivia goes missing. Slater Arganbright arrives on scene to help Cat find her. Shadowy organizations, ruthless murderers, and a lot of questions to be answered. It’s just a perfectly Krentz novel—a fun, and funny (mostly dry humor) romance, and an interesting mystery.
