The Orville

The biggest fanboy tribute

When Seth MacFarlane decided to show his fandom for Star Trek, he created The Orville. The Orville is captained by Ed Mercer, who is only a captain because the Planetary Union is running out of qualified officers for their many ships. Captain Mercer is joined by his best friend, Gordon, who is, well, not a rule following person. The Orville is also the home for Ed's ex wife, and his second in command. MacFarlane has created an entire universe, tackles some very touchy subjects, and still has you laughing because this is a crew you would enjoy being a part of.
