Maudie is a heartfelt story about two people who are both on the fringes of society. They are brought together by different circumstances and make it work for each of them. The movie progressed slowly, but it reflected how these two people slowly moved through life. They took on each challenge as it presented itself and found a way to manage. For Maudie it was painting, and eventually others began to notice her unique art style.
