Did you ever wonder who designed the form fitting dress Marilyn Monroe wore in ‘Some like it Hot’?

This is a documentary I streamed from Kanopy about award winning costume designer Orry Kelly. The movie contains interviews from actors, costume designers and movie critics, as well as clips from the movies showcasing his designs. Interspersed throughout the movie are some theatrical bits with an actor portraying Orry sharing his thoughts on the changes taking place in his life. The movie discusses Orry’s background, but most of the movie is focused on his life as a costume designer. In the movie Jane Fonda states, “There was something wonderful about working with a great talent who built clothes specifically for this character, for you.”
