What happens when a vampire falls in love...with a werewolf?

A graphic novel, but written in comic setup – each page being a standalone vignette – about what happens with a young vampire falls in love with a werewolf! Elsie is a 300 year old vampire stuck in a 26 year old body. One night she meets Jimmy, who turns her world upside down when he admits to her that her world isn’t as weird as she thinks – because he is a werewolf! 

This book tells the story of their developing relationship with a huge amount of humor. While reading this the first time, I laughed out loud more than once. While dealing with the standard parts of any relationship, the getting to know you stuff, these two have to work through some more specific issues: how to handle yourself when a squirrel walks by you, why you can’t wear silver jewelry that would touch your girlfriend, and the appropriate way to open the curtains in the daytime.

Andersen has a very clean black and white style that, in it’s simplicity, adds to this love story. You may be familiar with her other works, primarily Sarah’s Scribbles where she tells the story of her life through funny and truthful illustrations.
