I am a sucker for graphic novels and I love reading adaptations of folklore from all over the world. The Girl Who Married a Skull: and Other African Stories is beautifully illustrated with many stories that come from the African continent. The story that the book is named for is one I had never heard of, and though reminiscent of a Tim Burton movie, this story is far better. These stories will mostly make you laugh but all of them will make you think.
