A fictional tale about accepting life choices
Life is absolutely terrible for 35-year-old Nora Seed. As she attempts to take her life, she is magically transported to a mysterious library that contains an infinite number of books that depict different variations of her life story. Each variation is the result of a specific set of life choices that she made within the context of that particular storyline. There are an infinite number of books, because there is an endless amount of possible choices, major and minor, that one makes over the course of a lifetime. Through being able to get a glimpse of each version of herself in several alternative universes, Nora is forced come to grips with the crux of her own internal struggles. The best way to describe this book is that it is a cross between the movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life” and the television show, “The Twilight Zone.” If you’re prone to daydreaming about what your life would have been like, if you had taken a different path, then this is the story for you. It is a cautionary tale about the futile nature of fretting over past regrets.
