All Systems Red is a science fiction novel, the first in "the Murderbot Diaries", presented as a series of diary entries by the titular and self-named "Murderbot". Murderbot is a security android built to protect humans, but Murderbot hates humans! Murderbot wishes it could just go watch TV instead.

Have you ever felt antisocial, like the society around you doesn't make sense, and you just want to hole up somewhere and watch Netflix? Then this book is for you! The main character is an outsider looking in, deeply cynical and suffering from more than a little PTSD. The setting is that of the far future, but manages to focus less on the setting and more on the characters that inhabit it. The writing style drips dry sarcasm (if dry dripping is possible), and very cathartic for those who may be frustrated with the state of the world. Like Murderbot, take a break from the world around you, and go experience a space drama about a character who just wants a break from the world around it.
