After the death of her social activist sister following an unlawful arrest, 17-year old Happi Smith tries to process her grief and reconcile her memories of Kezi with how she is being memorialized in public. To honor Kezi, Happi and her oldest sister decide to fulfill Kezi’s plans of a cross-country road trip following the Negro Motorist Green Book, but open up family wounds both old and new along the way.
