Hollywood Park is the story of Mikal Jollett, front man for the Indie band Airborne Toxic Event. It chronicles Jollett’s life after his escape from 60’s drug rehab/cult, Synanon. Jollett recalls his journey of living with his mentally ill mother and struggling to find his place in life. The emotional upheaval of trying to make sense of his mother's selfish manipulations, and watching his brother’s defiant self-destruction, almost drives Jollett into the life of addiction that affects his entire family. But, with the help of his father, Jollett is able to escape that fate and excel as a writer and a musician.
