A fun cozy mystery for foodies

I love cozy mysteries, but there is a dearth of diversity in this genre when it comes to protagonists.  So, I’m always thrilled when I come across a cozy in which a person of color is the amateur sleuth. Lila, the protagonist in this book is Asian American and the plot surrounds her aunt, Tita Rosie’s restaurant in a small town in Illinois.  Yes, it has many of the typical cozy mystery tropes, but I enjoyed learning about Filipino cuisine and the cultural complexities of her familial interactions.  Cozy enthusiasts will enjoy this book.
